We recently launched another small business website, this time for Paul Morrell Formalwear in Little Rock, AR. Paul Morrell previously hired us to redesign their company logo as well as their online formalwear catalog, MyTuxedoCatalog.com. While their catalog site is intended to be more independent so that it can be used by their formalwear partners across the country, the new company website is strictly focused on the Paul Morrell brand.
Paul Morrell Formalwear wanted their website to cater to three distinct types of visitors: retail, business-to-business prospects, and existing partners. This required a lot of planning in order to make sure that visitors who first hit their site know immediately where to go to find the information they need. In order to accomplish this, we used prominent sections of the homepage to guide the visitor to each part of the site, as well as a large, intuitive drop-down navigation menu that very clearly displays all of the sub-pages within a given category.
The team at Paul Morrell Formalwear in Little Rock, Arkansas approached us to completely overhaul their online catalog for men’s formalwear. They wanted something that allowed for casual browsing of the catalog, but would also be powerful enough to allow users to quickly filter and search based on many different product attributes using reductive navigation.
This was a pretty ambitious project for us, since most of the sites we had developed in the past typically contained static content. We were committed to using WordPress as our CMS platform, but knew that this project was going to take a lot of custom code to create a seamless user experience.
When we build and launch a new custom website for a customer, we are helping them to establish an entirely new look for their organization. For many of our customers, this is also a great time to re-evaluate their current logo, which may be outdated and out of sync with their new direction. Lamplight Media has handled several logo redesigns over the years, including most recently two new logos for Paul Morrell Formalwear.
Headquartered right here in Little Rock, Arkansas, Paul Morrell Formalwear is a small business with a nationwide footprint in the formalwear industry. Founded in 1975, the company supplies tuxedos, suits, vests, and accessories to their partner network of bridal and flower shops across the country. They are equipped to stock, alter, and dry-clean literally thousands of formalwear items from their 120,000 square foot warehouse in downtown Little Rock.
I’m proud to announce that we’ve just launched version 2.0 of our website! We hope that this will more effectively communicate our company mission and our service offering to our customers. We really wanted our site to heavily showcase the work that we do, because we truly believe that our work speaks for itself and sets us apart from other web development companies. Feel free to browse our portfolio and learn a little bit more about each of the clients we’ve served along the way.
